Sunday Worship with Rev. Yolanda - June 30, 2024 10:30am

Join the Jackson Community Church for music, prayer, and reflection with drag performer Rev Yolanda from NYC. Rev. Yolanda, emcee of the Pride Festival, will lead worship on Sunday. This gathering will take place in person and will be shared livestream as well. All are welcome to join; come with open hearts and minds, come with kindness and curiosity, and come with respect for God's rainbow of human diversity.  More info available here.

LGBTQIA+ Intro to Climbing - June 30, 2024 8am

Join All Outdoors Collective with guest guide Marian Perez from Rise Outside for a guided intro to climbing day during White Mountains Pride Festival weekend! The intention of the space is twofold: to bring together folks from the lgbtqia+ community, and to play on rocks. All levels of experience are welcome.  Reserve your spot by clicking here.

White Mountains Pride Festival - Saturday June 29, 2024 10am - 4pm

Join us at the North Conway Community Center Park for a full day of activities including food trucks, music, kids activities and other celebrations! Entertainment from 10 - 4 will include our emcee Reverend Yolanda plus more! There will be plenty of activities and also food and other vendors.

​White Mountains Pride After Party - Saturday June 29, 2024 6pm - 10pm

Join us from 6-10PM at Ledge Brewing Company for the official 2024 Pride Afterparty, hosted by Gallery NH. Enjoy carnival-style lawn games, tacos, and live music by Shark Martin from 6-9 before taking it inside for an epic 21+ dance party with open-stage drag hosted by special guest, Cabana Love and musical selections from Lily J. A wide variety of snacks, brews, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available all night. Come dressed to express!

 

Drag Story Hour Counter Protest Lovefest - June 28, 2024 at 9:30am

Join White Mountains Pride at Conway Public Library at 15 Greenwood Avenue in Conway, NH, to show your love and support for the program!  Unfortunately we have been informed there will be a protest at the Library and we want to have volunteers present to show love and support for attendees and the community at large - join us and show your Pride and Love to all!

Drag Story Hour - June 28, 2024 at 10:30am

Join White Mountains Pride at Conway Public Library at 15 Greenwood Avenue in Conway, NH, as storyteller Reverend Yolanda uses the art of drag to read books to kids. DSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. Kids are able to see people who defy gender restrictions and imagine a world where everyone can be their authentic selves! Attendance at this program is limited to parents and caregivers who are with their children. All adults must be accompanied by a child.  The program starts at 10:40AM and attendees can begin entering the meeting room at 10:30AM.

Join Abenaki Trail Restaurant in North Conway for happy hours every day leading up to the Pride Festival on June 29th.  Join us and wear your Pride!

 

Volunteer Gathering - June 21, 2024 6pm

Join us for a Volunteer gathering on Friday June 21, 2024 at 6pm at the Cranmore Inn (80 Kearsarge Road) to help plan and prepare for the White Mountains Pride Festival on June 29, 2024!

White Mountains Pride Bowling Night at Saco Valley Sports Center in Fryeburg, ME - June 18, 2024 6pm - 8pm

Join us Tuesday, June 18th for the first of Gallery NH and White Mountains Pride’s monthly Bowling Nights! The first twelve bowlers to arrive will bowl for free!

White Mountains Pride Trivia at Flatbread Company - June 12, 2024 6pm - 8pm

Join us at Flatbread Company on Wednesday, June 12th at 6pm for Pride Trivia, a fundraiser for White Mountains Pride, hosted by Gallery NH. Brush up on LGBT+ history and pop culture, form a team, and come ready to show how much you know! The three teams with the highest scores will win prizes from our sponsors.

Dragging into Pride - June 7, 2024 8pm​

Join White Mountains Pride for Dragging into Pride! A Drag show featuring Lady Vanessa, Buffi Halliwell and Starry Nights will be presented at Abenaki Trail Restaurant in North Conway at 8pm.  Showroom opens at 7:45pm and there is limited seating available (only 80 tickets available!) so please purchase tickets ($15) in advance at https://white-mountains-pride.square.site/.   Drink service will be available during the show.  If you are interesting in dining prior to the show Abenaki Trail is offering dinner reservations from 4 - 7pm by calling 603-356-6565.  The evening promises to be a great deal of fun and all proceeds benefit White Mountains Pride!

The People's Joker movie screening - June 2, 2024 7pm

Join us for a free movie screening of The People's Joker on Sunday June 2, 2024 at 7pm at M&D Playhouse at the Historic Eastern Slope Inn (2760 White Mountain Highway).  This will be the New Hampshire premiere for this film!  House will open at 6pm and the bar will be open with drinks and snacks available for purchase.

The New Hampshire premiere of “The People’s Joker,” an explosive autobiographical queer coming-of-age superhero parody co-written, directed and starring Vera Drew, a transgender editor, director, writer and actress who has worked on such projects “On Cinema,” “Comedy Bang! Bang!” and “Who Is America?”

​

The film unofficially parodies characters from the Batman comics, and the main character is an unconfident, closeted trans girl as she moves to Gotham City to make it big as a comedian by joining the cast of UCB Live — a government-sanctioned late night sketch show in a world where comedy has been outlawed. As mainstream success eludes our heroine, leading her to unite with a ragtag team of rejects, misfits, and a certain love interest named Mister J, "Joker the Harlequin" is born again as a confident (and psychotic) joker on a collision course with the city's fascist caped crusader. Vats of feminizing chemicals, sexy cartoon interludes, scarecrow psychiatrists, CGI Lorne Michaels, and psychedelic gender dysphoria all play supporting roles.

We want to encourage everyone who has an interest in Pride to come meet and greet and to connect with fellow volunteers.  We want to hear your ideas and will have plenty of snacks and drinks to keep you fueled throughout the night. We are hoping to identify folks who will help White Mountains Pride by coordinating events and activities, merchants, food trucks and other logistics for the Festival in June.   Bring your ideas and energy so we can work together to create a fabulous festival! No experience necessary! All you need is a positive attitude, a willingness to help, and a love for all things Pride. Please RSVP to  whitemountainspride@gmail.com so we can get a headcount.

Valley Ms. Competition - March 17, 2024 3pm

Mount Washington Valley Promotions will host the Valley Ms. Event on Sunday, March 17 at the Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash, in Bartlett where Mandy Beckett is competing on behalf of White Mountains Pride (they have a chance to win $500 for White Mountains Pride).  Also, Lady Vanessa and other local talent will be performing as part of the program which begins at 3pm.
The Grand Summit will offer a cash bar and light refreshments. Tickets may be purchased in advance through Eventbrite or you may pay cash at the door.

MWV Candelight Vigil for Nex Benedict - March 3, 2024 7pm

Please join the vigil to honor Nex Benedict Sunday March 3 at 7pm at the North Conway Community Center Gazebo.  Nex Benedict, a 16 year old from Oklahoma who identified as non-binary, died after an altercation with three students in their school bathroom. We stand with the grieving family and loved ones of Nex.  Nex’s death is a stark reminder of the dangers faced by LGBTQIA youth, especially in environments where bullying and discrimination are prevalent- which unfortunately includes our schools.  Reports indicate Nex endured bullying for months before the incident.  This unacceptable behavior is fueled by a climate of intolerance with recent anti-LGBTQ legislation contributing to a sense of isolation and vulnerability.

An Evening with Lady Vanessa - February 9, 2024 8pm

Join us for Drag performance by Lady Vanessa with friends at Abenaki Trail Restaurant inn North Conway on February 9, 2024 at 8pm. Lady Vanessa with her fabulous backup dancers will perform a Live Drag Show with tributes to her Idols, some blasts from the past and Broadway!
